Dr. Kristen Cheslick, CRNP, is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and is board-certified by the American Credentialing Center (ANCC). She has over 20 years of nursing experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients and their families. Her education includes a Master of Science in Nursing, from Wilkes University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice, from Bloomsburg University. Her primary goal as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is to help her clients achieve mental and physical wellness and ultimately, optimal quality of life. Her experiences as a provider in in-patient and outpatient psychiatric settings have served to provide Dr. Cheslick with an extensive understanding of the human experience and a genuine, empathic approach to the treatment of psychiatric conditions. Furthermore, her role as an educator at Wilkes University, School of Nursing serves to broaden her clinical database and stay current with the latest evidence in psychiatric treatment. She holds certificates in Mindfulness and Integrative and Healing Practices in Healthcare. In addition, she is a certified yoga instructor and has completed in-depth research in regard to the mental health benefits of yoga and mindfulness practices.
Dr. Cheslick treats clients across the lifespan in her outpatient private practice, working in partnership with patients and their families to provide comprehensive psychiatric care. She is trained in the treatment of a multitude of psychiatric conditions including, but not limited to, Mood disorders (such as Major Depressive Disorder and Bipolar Affective Disorder), Anxiety disorders (such as Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), ADHD/ADD, Eating Disorders and Personality Disorders. Treatment plans are jointly created between Dr. Cheslick and her patients and may include other relevant providers, such as therapists.
